Accessibility
Our goal
Desk Technologies, Inc. wants Rights Restore to work for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, voice control or magnification. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.
What we do
These are built in, and automated checks run on every change.
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a "Skip to content" link and a clear focus outline.
- Text and colors meet the 4.5 to 1 contrast level, in light and dark mode.
- Every form field has a visible label, and errors are explained in words.
- Buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall so they are easy to tap.
- Pages respect your "reduce motion" and high-contrast settings, and use your device fonts.
- We write in plain words, aiming for about an 8th-grade reading level.
- Pages work on a phone, and text can be enlarged without losing content.
- There are no images that carry meaning, no videos, and no tracking scripts.
